We loved the Sanubari The beach is absolutely gorgeous and there are several surf breaks that are walking distance from the resort . I loved finishing a surf session and having someone greet me with a towel and a glass of water. Having your own pool with your villa is so luxurious . We had a couples massage and they set up tables next to our pool in our backyard it was amazing This beautiful resort is a must do if youre coming to Sumba

I dream of the Sanubari. We had a fantastic stay. Were upgraded to a 2-bedroom villa and it was so nice. The decor and amenities are amazing the private pool spectacular. The privacy and empty beach unbelievable. I dont think there are too many places in the world who can compete. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Guided tours to waterfalls fantastic. The weak link here is the food. It felt more average in standard compared to the rest of the resort. I think that is likely to improve as the restaurant gets bigger. Despite food just being average it does not take away from overall experience. Come to Sumba before it gets ruined by tourism.

My husband and I have sadly come to the end of our stay at the Sanubari resort. We have spent the most amazing week here for our wedding anniversary. I have to say the staff are incredible and go above and beyond to ensure your stay is magical what a happy friendly bunch you are and we cant thank you enough. Never loose your enthusiasm guys you truly make the Sanubari what it is. We stayed in one of the garden pool rooms which we loved it was spacious clean and very comfortable. A lot of thought has gone into the design to ensure everyone has privacy. The chef turns out such beautiful food we worked our way through his menu and loved everything we had. The bar boys and their cocktails were Devine and they were a great source of information about their island. We really enjoyed the cultural village and the young guide that accompanied us was fabulous and so informative. The whole experience from start to finish was amazing and we cant wait to come back. Team your service makes this place keep up the great work and thank you from the bottom of our hearts its been an absolute pleasure

I recently visited The Sanubari and it was wonderful The resort has a chill vibe on a beautiful property. The owners are very personable and friendly and the staff was very kind always chatty with a smile. Theres plenty to do there from surfing and horseback riding to playing golf. Whether youre looking for lots of activities or a laidback vacation this is the place to be.

My husband and I have just spent a week at the Sanubari for our wedding anniversary. We have had an amazing week the service is the best we have experienced anywhere. The staff obviously love their jobs and are so happy we felt by the end of our stay we had so many new friends. They go above and beyond to make your stay such a memorable one. The rooms have everything you need and are clean and comfortable. No tv which we really havent missed. Your own private pool. We stayed in one of the garden pool villas which personally we would choose again. So private. The chef does a wonderful job and the food is very tasty. I just hope it doesnt loose its charm as it grows. If you are looking for complete relaxation its the holiday for you

Weve lived in Indonesia for 7 years and traveled quite extensively and Im kicking myself for not having traveled to Sumba sooner. What a gorgeous and quiet island and the Sanubari is a little piece of paradise on a postcard perfect beach. We stayed in a 2-bedroom villa with our teenaged sons and absolutely loved it. Plenty of space comfortable common area to hang out together in the AC during the hottest part of the day huge bedrooms and bathrooms. All you can hear at night is the waves. The staff is friendly and helpful and the restaurant has an extensive menu and everything we tried was delicious. We couldnt get enough of the pool and the beach...my husband loved the surf break right in front of the restaurant. Were already trying to figure out when we can go back.

If you ever get the chance to stay at the Sanubari you are soo lucky. Its just heaven on earth We stayed here for a week and were so sad to leave. The villas the beach the pool the delicious food everything is perfect. But what makes the place so extra special is the wonderful people who work there. Thank you for making us feel so welcome See you soon we will come back

We had just arrived from Bali and were so tired of the hustle and bustle there. We never truly got to feel relaxed and unwind until we arrived at Sanubari. A true escape. Plenty of activities to do and the staff were the best.
